Senior Backend Developer - Node.js

As a Backend Developer at EXPLIoT, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure backend systems using Node.js. Your primary focus will be on building and integrating RESTful APIs to ensure seamless interaction with front-end applications and other microservices. You will work with both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB) databases to handle data efficiently. Your role will involve implementing security measures such as authentication, authorization, encryption, and other protocols to protect applications from vulnerabilities and attacks. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement technical solutions will be essential. You will also be expected to actively participate in code reviews, sharing knowledge and improving team practices. In addition to backend development tasks, you will also be responsible for managing containerized applications using Docker and deploying services in Kubernetes clusters. A solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns is crucial for this role. To excel in this position, you should have proven experience in writing efficient and scalable code, along with expertise in designing and managing microservices and APIs. Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as the ability to optimize performance and implement security best practices, are required. Experience with Git for code versioning, writing automated tests, and strong problem-solving skills are also important.
