Job Description

Role Overview: You will be working as a Senior Data Engineer at EY, responsible for building and supporting large-scale data architectures to provide information to downstream systems and business users. Your role will involve aggregating and organizing data from multiple sources to streamline business decision-making. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineer Leads and partners to establish and maintain data platforms supporting front-end analytics, contributing insights to Takeda's dashboards and reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines following ETL principles, using AWS/Azure native technologies for increasing data source, volume, and complexity. - Define data requirements, gather and mine data, validate data tool efficiency in the Big Data Environment. - Lead evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging tools and processes to enhance productivity. - Implement systems to provide accurate data to key stakeholders, downstream systems, and business processes. - Collaborate with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to develop technical architectures for enterprise projects. - Coordinate with Data Scientists to understand data requirements and design solutions enabling advanced analytics. - Mentor and coach junior Data Engineers on data standards and practices, fostering a culture of learning and growth. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. - 5-9 years of experience in software development, data engineering, ETL, and analytics reporting. - Experience in building and maintaining data integrations using dimensional data modeling and optimized ETL pipelines. - Proficiency in Data Engineering Programming Languages (Python, SQL), Distributed Data Frameworks (Spark), Cloud platform services (AWS/Azure), and Relational Databases. - Hands-on experience with Spark Structured Streaming for real-time ETL pipelines. - Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
