Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Understand business requirements and use cases for testing.
Define the QA strategy, including test plans, test cases, and test environments.
Set up and manage QA tools, test data, and automation frameworks (unit testing).
Estimate QA effort and create timelines aligned with project delivery goals.
Participate in risk assessments and provide input on feature feasibility from a quality perspective.
Ensure requirements are testable, clear, and complete.
During Safety VA Implementation
Lead and coordinate day-to-day QA/testing activities across manual and automated testing efforts.
Execute functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance tests (before prod launch)
Identify, document, and track bugs using the agreed defect management system.
Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
Continuously monitor quality metrics and provide progress in meetings.
Ensure testing adheres to established processes and timelines.
After App Implementation
Conduct post-release testing to verify deployments and production readiness (smoke testing)
Monitor user feedback, logs, and analytics for potential undetected issues.
Lead root cause analysis for any post-production defects.
Drive continuous improvement of QA processes based on learnings and performance metrics.
Maintain test case documentation and automation scripts for future reuse.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in software QA, with at least 1 year in a lead or senior role.
Proven experience managing QA in agile/scrum environments.
Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing (QAE)
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).

Skills :

Technical Skills:
Proficient in test case management tools.
Experience with automation frameworks
Familiarity with scripting or programming (e.g., Python).
Knowledge of API testing tools.
Experience with performance testing tools is a plus.
