Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our GST Division as a Senior Associate. This role is pivotal in ensuring robust GST compliance, handling statutory filings, supporting audits, managing reconciliations, and offering advisory assistance to clients and internal stakeholders. The position requires a strong grounding in GST laws and regulations, with opportunities to contribute to litigation support and advisory services. Whether CA-qualified or an experienced non-CA professional, the role is designed for individuals aiming to deepen their GST expertise and build a long-term career in indirect tax.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns in compliance with statutory deadlines.
  • Conduct reconciliations between books of accounts, GST returns, and other statutory records, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support in drafting responses to departmental notices, queries, and assessments.
  • Provide advisory support on GST applicability, procedures, and compliance issues, ensuring clients and business teams remain aligned with changing regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance across transactions, recommending corrective and preventive controls where required.
  • Assist in managing GST audits and departmental reviews, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submissions.
  • Liaise with government authorities, clients, and cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth resolution of compliance matters.
  • Support the litigation process by assisting in the preparation of documentation, briefing notes, and legal submissions, if required.
  • Contribute to knowledge-building initiatives within the team by sharing updates on legislative amendments, circulars, and case laws.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of GST laws, compliance frameworks, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving ability with demonstrated experience in handling reconciliations and audits.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and comfort working with ERP platforms such as SAP or Tally.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to interact effectively with clients, government officials, and business leaders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate across departments and resolve issues efficiently.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in compliance deliverables.
  • Self-driven and adaptable to a dynamic regulatory environment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Option 1: Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in GST compliance and advisory.
  • Option 2: Non-CA professional with 4–6 years of robust, hands-on GST experience across compliance, advisory, and audit functions.
