Senior Associate - Financial Control

As part of a global financial services group at Macquarie, your role will involve conducting monthly balance sheet and P&L analysis, overseeing month-end close processes, and preparing financial, regulatory, and tax reporting submissions. Your expertise in IFRS-based financial reporting is crucial as you translate commercial business transactions into appropriate accounting treatments. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting on new transactions, deals, products, entities, acquisitions, or restructures. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct monthly balance sheet and P&L analysis - Oversee month-end close processes - Prepare financial, regulatory, and tax reporting submissions - Translate commercial business transactions into appropriate accounting treatments - Report on new transactions, deals, products, entities, acquisitions, or restructures Qualifications Required: - Postgraduate accounting qualification such as CA (November 2024) - Deep understanding of IFRS reporting requirements, especially those relevant to the banking industry Macquarie's Financial Management, People, and Engagement (FPE) team serves as a central hub for the Group's businesses in key areas such as people, strategy, communications, and financial management.
