Job Description

As the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead, your primary responsibility will be to drive the financial planning and analysis process, which includes forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning to facilitate informed business decisions. You will collaborate with department heads and business leaders to develop financial strategies aligning with overall company objectives. Additionally, you will oversee the annual budget development, management, and monitoring to ensure alignment with company goals and financial constraints. Your role will involve preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics, for senior management and board presentations. Cost management and control will be a key focus, where you will analyze cost structures and expenditures to identify areas for cost savings and operational efficiencies. In terms of investment analysis, you will evaluate investment opportunities, business cases, and capital expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals and return on investment (ROI) criteria. Managing cash flow projections for operational liquidity, investments, and growth initiatives, will also be part of your responsibilities. Developing and maintaining complex financial models to support business scenarios, decision-making, and strategic planning is crucial. You will need to identify and mitigate financial risks related to business operations, market conditions, and industry trends while ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing business performance, and recommending corrective actions when necessary to meet or exceed financial targets will also fall under your purview. Lastly, you will lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. - 1+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field. - Experience in a rapidly growing organization. - Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. - Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies supporting business objectives. - Experience with financial modeling and analysis. - Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing finance team. Preferred Qualifications: - Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) are a strong plus. - Experience in Edtech / Startup industry.
