Senior Application Software Engineer

Role Overview: You will be part of the team developing Confluent's Cost Estimator platform, which is an internal web application designed to provide users with intuitive and reliable features for workload sizing, forecasting, scenario modeling, and operational efficiency. Your role will involve building internal tools and applications to empower Solution Engineers and Account Executives, focusing on practical and maintainable solutions for internal-facing applications with high business impact. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement the Cost Estimator Internal Web Application - Collaborate with Product Managers and Backend Engineers to deliver features - Translate business requirements into reliable code using technologies such as React, GoLang, and Postgres - Optimize applications for speed and scalability - Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster a culture of growth, collaboration, and technical excellence within the team Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field - 5 to 8 years of professional experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade Full Stack solutions - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, GoLang, Data Structures, Algorithms, RESTful APIs, and PostgreSQL - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for web application deployment - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and project management tools - Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery independently and collaboratively in dynamic, cross-functional environments Additional Details: Confluent is focused on rewriting how data moves and enabling companies to react faster and build smarter with their data streaming platform.
