Job Description

Job Title: Senior Application Developer Progress 4GL/Open Edge

Experience: 5-10 Years

Location: Hyderabad / Chennai / Pune

Qualification: BE/BTech

Shift: General

Mandatory skills: Application development using Progress 4GL/Open Edge 10.x, 11.x, 12.x etc.+ Experience in VPAS application development+ Exp in using Progress 4GL debugger

Mandatory Skills:

Strong knowledge on Application Design and development.
Prior experience in technical design documentation, code review and performance optimization techniques using various progress tools like Promon, Profiler, debugger etc.
Strong knowledge of Progress Database concepts (indexes, triggers, database schema build and maintenance, application performance tuning etc.)
Exposure to Progress CDC, Pro2, Eclipse/PDSOE, XML parsing etc.
Experience on team handling and mentoring, taking accountability and ownership of deliverables
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge on ADM, Webservices & App Servers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
Strong technical background, willing to learn new tools and technologies
Experience solely on QAD development/Consulting is not preferred.

Optional skills:

Knowledge of the US Life Insurance domain will be an added advantage
Prior Experience in VPAS application development is a definite advantage
Profiler, Eclipse/PDSOE, Agile, Unit testing using ABLUnit, SonarQube, Continuous Integration, DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins etc.
