Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Outline the day-to-day responsibilities for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Snowflake.
Implement ETL/ELT workflows using
Snowflake, SQL, and Cloud platforms
(Azure/AWS/GCP as applicable).
Optimize Snowflake storage, compute, and query performance.
Develop and manage Snowflake objects such as warehouses, schemas, stages, pipes, tasks, and streams.
Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards across the data ecosystem.
Collaborate with BI, Data Engineering, and Application teams to support analytics use cases.
Troubleshoot production issues and fine-tune performance.

Technical Skills Required:

Strong hands-on expertise in
Snowflake architecture
, micro-partitioning, caching, query optimization.
Advanced
SQL
skills.
Experience with
ETL/ELT tools
(e.g., ADF, Talend, Informatica, DBT, Matillion specify yours).
Knowledge of
Cloud technologies
(Azure preferred / AWS / GCP).
Experience in
data modeling
(Star/Snowflake schema) and warehousing concepts.
Expertise in
Snowpipe
, file ingestion, and task orchestration.
Familiarity with
Python
for scripting (optional but preferred).

Additional Good-to-Have:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to DevOps and version control tools (Git).
Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Preferred candidate profile:

Specify required role expertise, previous job experience, or relevant certifications.
