Senior Application Architect and Delivery Lead

As an Applications Development Group Manager at Citigroup, you will be responsible for managing a team to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. Your key responsibilities include: - Managing multiple teams to achieve established goals and conducting personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions - Providing strategic influence, exercising control over resources and budget management, and monitoring end results - Utilizing in-depth knowledge to resolve issues and contribute to defining standards - Integrating applications development knowledge with the overall technology function to achieve goals - Providing evaluative judgment in complicated situations, influencing and negotiating with senior leaders, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations - Appropriately assessing risks and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets Qualifications required for this role include: - 14+ years of relevant experience - Experience in applications development and management - Experience in managing global technology teams - Working knowledge of industry practices and standards - Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills In addition to the above, you are expected to have a sound understanding of architecture theories and practices in multiple related areas. You should have demonstrated knowledge in Big Data, Grid Computing, Data Warehousing, Cloud Computing, and programming languages like Java, Spark, and Python. Extensive development expertise in building high-scaled and performant software platforms for data computation and processing is essential. Expert-level knowledge of core Java concepts and frameworks like Spring Boot and Microservices is also required. Furthermore, hands-on experience with Apache Spark, caching solutions like Pinot and Redis, a strong knowledge of Oracle DB, and understanding of how technology integrates within the organization and competitors" products and services are essential. Strong leadership skills, ability to persuade and influence senior leaders, and market risk domain knowledge are also desirable.
