Senior Animator

As a Senior Animator at The Cirqus, you will be responsible for creating high-quality animations of characters and elements to convey emotion, movement, action, and personality according to the style of the work. **Main responsibilities:** - Experience in animating for feature films, VFX, TV series, ride films, or games. - Demonstrated passion and ability in animating character performance and lip sync. - Maintain consistent high standards within the group and focus on deadlines. - Animate a shot from blocking through final animation with minimum supervision. - Mentor and assist entry-level animators. - Proactively escalate technical issues and assist with project clean-up and archiving. - Willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the team and the project. **Requirements:** - Degree or equivalent in classical animation, film, or related field, or equivalent production animation experience. - Ability to script in python and MEL is essential. - Strong sense of animation basics, acting, staging, posing, weight, timing, storytelling, and staying on model. - Understanding of the language of the camera. - Solid camera animation work and exemplary communication skills. - Ability to debug and troubleshoot technical issues. - Strong understanding of traditional animation principles. - Extensive knowledge of Maya is necessary. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Works well under pressure. **Brownie Points:** - Previs experience is a plus. - Knowledge of rigging is an advantage. - Knowledge of human and animal anatomy as well as life drawing skills.
