Our Team
Stakeholders rely on knowledge and expertise of the Market Research Team to provide direction and guidance as it relates to their business needs. The role of a Market Research Sr. Analyst is to ensure fulfillment of project specifications, build and support recurring deliverables, support ad-hoc requests and provide support to the stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Managing cross-industry research projects for Molex (a Koch Industries company), a global electronics and connectivity solutions provider serving sectors such as industrial manufacturing, automotive, aerospace & defense, medical/healthcare devices, data centers, consumer electronics, and telecommunications.
- The work spans areas including (but not limited to) executing and delivering solutions/insights based on market landscaping, competitive intelligence, company/account intelligence, product planning, and technology assessment, including a good understanding of the medical technology environment.
- Monitor industry news, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to stay updated on the latest trends and their impact on the organization. Analyze findings for relevant trends, patterns and insights and apply them to help the team arrive at solutions/recommendations.
- Collect and synthesize business information to generate meaningful insights for stakeholders on various customized requests from publicly available resources and subscribed databases such as CapitalIQ Pro, AlphaSense, GlobalData, Hoovers, Gartner, Statista, IDC, Bloomberg, etc.
- The ability to use desk research effectively to bolster and verify insight from other external and internal sources. Research, analyze, interpret data and respond to business partner inquiries that may be complex and non-routine.
- Expert knowledge of market research principles, practices, tactics, and tools such as strategic frameworks (SWOT, Porters Five Forces), data triangulation techniques, and industry/market analysis methodologies.
- Strong strategic analysis, storyboarding, and report writing skills; the ability to use all insights gathered to build a comprehensive summary report and provide insight beyond deliverables.
- Leverage GenAI resources (Perplexity, Chat GPT, Claude AI, etc.) to streamline data collection and synthesis, while applying rigorous triangulation to validate the data/data sources to ensure accuracy. Continuously seek opportunities to apply GenAI to enhance work approach and deliverables.
- Interact and collaborate seamlessly with team members to ensure delivery of high - quality strategy consulting assignments.
- Ability to take complete ownership of the modules assigned. Present findings in a crisp, well structured, and synthesized format and in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct business English (both written and verbal) for easy understanding
- Proficiency in managing projects related (but not limited to) to:
- Company Profiling: Business segments, strategy, issues /challenges, M&A history, competitive positioning, organization structure, recent developments, SWOT, good understanding of the key financial parameters of a company.
- Market specific: Industry trends, value chain, size and growth outlook, challenges, competitive landscape, Porters /PESTLE analysis.
- Competitor Analysis: Comparative performance of companies on financial and operational KPIs, strengths and weaknesses
- Independently handle multiple projects, with minimal supervision from Manager/Lead Analyst.
- Experience with Excel including pivot tables, lookups, graphing and charting functionality.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Educational:
- UG: Any Graduate
- PG: MBA/PGDM in Finance, Marketing, Operations.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 6-9 years of work experience in cross industry market research preferably in electronics manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, automotive, aerospace & defense, medical/healthcare devices, and technology sectors.
- Good knowledge of different technology markets and general understanding of the latest technology trends including medical technology environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in the industry with a desire to work for a B2B intelligence and consulting company and equipped with strong acumen in data and analytics is acceptable.
- Proven experience in Cross Industry Market Research Analysis.
- Problem solving and analytical and critical thinking skills with proven proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and application of MS Copilot within the MS ecosystem.
- Good understanding of company financial data, sales data, and number crunching.
- Data validation and accuracy acumen.
- Consistent application of formatting skills to ensure quality and aesthetics of deliverables.
- Knowledge of commonly used basic strategic analysis tools.
- Proficient in GenAI usage: Ability to leverage AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of deliverables.
- Strong, clear communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills and the capacity to work both independently and within a team.
- SQL, Python, and PowerBI skills a plus.
