About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior AI Engineer / AI Backend Developer with strong expertise in software engineering and machine learning. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy intelligent AI-driven systems, integrate ML models into scalable applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement AI/ML algorithms and integrate them into production-grade applications.
• Develop robust, scalable APIs and backend services enabling AI functionality.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend/frontend engineers, and product managers to define technical requirements and deliver AI-driven features.
• Train, validate, and evaluate machine learning models using relevant datasets.
• Optimize models and code for accuracy, performance, and scalability.
• Deploy and monitor AI/ML solutions in cloud or on-prem production environments.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in AI/ML, deep learning, and modern software engineering practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Work with data pipelines, ETL processes, and database systems for model training and inference.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience, with 2+ years in software development and 1+ year in AI/ML-focused roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or equivalent.
• Experience deploying models using cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
• Expertise in REST APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, data preprocessing, and building data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a distributed team environment with overlapping US shifts.
