Job Title : Senior Accountant Location : Ashram Road,Ahmedabad Department : Finance & Accounts Experience Required : 5 to 8 years in manufacturing sector preferred Qualification : B.Com/M.Com + CA Inter / CMA Inter (Preferred) Job Purpose : To manage the financial accounting function of the company, ensure accurate financial reporting, and coordinate statutory audits including IT and CA audits, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities : 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting Ensure timely and accurate recording of day-to-day accounting transactions. Manage general ledger, trial balance, and monthly/yearly closing activities. Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). Reconcile accounts payable/receivable, bank, intercompany, and inventory ledgers. 2. Year-End Finalization Prepare year-end schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation. Coordinate with statutory auditors for timely closure of the annual audit. Assist in preparation of Board presentation for financial results. 3. IT and Statutory Audits Prepare and support documentation for internal IT audit and ERP controls. Liaise with IT team and auditors to ensure smooth conduct of Information System (IS) audit. Handle all queries and requirements of statutory auditors and tax auditors. 4. Compliance and Controls Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other applicable laws. Maintain audit trails and documentation for internal and external audits. Implement and monitor internal financial controls. 5. Cost & Inventory Accounting Coordinate with stores and production for periodic inventory valuation. Reconcile and analyze variances in material consumption, WIP, and FG stock. Assist in preparation of cost sheets for different machine tools/products. 6. ERP and Automation Work closely with the IT team for financial module implementation and maintenance (SAP/Tally/MS Dynamics or other ERP). Assist in system improvements and automation of accounting processes. Key Skills and Competencies : Strong knowledge of accounting standards and manufacturing accounting. Hands-on experience with ERP systems. Experience in handling IT and statutory audits. Proficient in MS Excel, Tally, and accounting software. Analytical mindset with attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Desirable Attributes : Prior experience in machine tools or engineering industry. Exposure to cost accounting and product costing. Knowledge of GST returns, e-invoicing, and TDS compliance.
