Job description:

The Security Officer / Assistant Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, property, and information within the organization. The role involves implementing and monitoring security measures, responding to incidents, and assisting in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and safeguard company premises, assets, and personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections to detect and prevent security breaches, hazards, or suspicious activities.
• Manage access control systems, including issuing passes, verifying identity, and maintaining visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents and provide appropriate assistance.
• Assist in coordinating emergency response procedures (fire, medical, evacuation, etc.).
• Maintain and operate security equipment such as CCTV, alarms, and communication systems.
• Prepare incident, investigation, and daily security reports.
• Support the Security Manager in implementing and updating security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health and safety protocols, and organizational standards.
• Provide guidance and support to junior security staff when required.
• Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, and external security agencies if necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred for Assistant Security Officer role).
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is desirable.
• Knowledge of security protocols, surveillance systems, and emergency procedures.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in high-pressure situations.
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and monitoring systems.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
