Role Overview: As the Manager of Platform Security Engineering at Zinnia, you will lead a team focused on securing the corporate environment and on-premises infrastructure. Your role will involve building automation and platform capabilities to support the broader InfoSec function. This position requires expertise in infrastructure security, system reliability, and security engineering to develop and maintain production-grade security platforms that can scale effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the Security Platform Engineering team in managing corporate and infrastructure security tooling - Design, implement, and operate production-grade security systems such as log management, EDR, asset inventory, and configuration management - Collaborate with internal infrastructure, IT, and cloud teams to deploy, monitor, and maintain security controls across all environments - Develop automation pipelines and backend systems for security operations, including data pipelines for telemetry and workflow automation for alert handling - Implement security principles like Zero Trust, least privilege, and secure-by-default infrastructure - Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, properly documented, and have appropriate monitoring and alerting - Support compliance and audit efforts through well-instrumented systems and accurate reporting - Define roadmaps, make technical architecture decisions, and manage day-to-day execution within the team Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, or platform engineering, with 2+ years in a team leadership or management role - Hands-on experience with Microsoft (Active Directory, Intune, Defender) and Linux platforms in enterprise environments - Deep understanding of networking, Zero Trust, EDR, and endpoint hardening - Proven ability to design, build, and operate production-grade systems such as log management and telemetry pipelines - Experience with automation frameworks and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar - Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR platforms, identity platforms, and asset management solutions - Ability to work across cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders - Bonus: experience in regulated environments (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001), and holding security certifications like CISSP, CISM, or OSCP (Note: The JD does not include any additional details about the company.)
