Security Engineer II - Java Full Stack, AWS, Terraform, Containers

As a Security Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you are part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions meeting predefined functional and user requirements while preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As an emerging member of the security engineering team, you execute basic software solutions through design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical area, gaining skills and experience to grow within your role. You will execute standard security solutions following existing playbooks to meet security requirements for internal clients, such as product, platform, and application owners. You will write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance. Additionally, you will apply specialized tools, such as vulnerability scanners, to analyze and correlate incident data, identifying, interpreting, and summarizing the probability and impact of threats when determining specific vulnerabilities. Supporting the delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises is also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills include formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience. You should be proficient in application design, coding, testing, maintenance, and debugging. Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Framework components such as AOP, Integration, MVC, and Spring Boot is expected. Proficiency in front-end development using Angular/React/Vue frameworks, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON is necessary. Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure, along with familiarity with Terraform and containers, is required. Expertise in messaging-based integration (JMS/MQ/Kafka) and microservices is essential. Proficiency in Spring JDBC, Spring Hibernate ORM, and JPA, along with experience with databases, both RDBMS and NoSQL, is also a must. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include knowledge of Jenkins/Bamboo or any CI/CD tools. Excellent communication skills, as well as analytical and troubleshooting skills, are highly valued.,
