Security Engineer

Job Description: As a Senior Security Engineer at Harrison.ai, you will play a crucial role in supporting clinicians in delivering accurate diagnoses and raising the standard of care for millions of patients worldwide. Your responsibilities will include: - Being the hands-on technical resource for all security-related matters. This entails designing security systems, setting up software, and actively participating in security operations. - Designing, building, implementing, and enhancing security tools across various domains such as SIEM, Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, and Application Security. - Collaborating with different teams to ensure security is an integral part of all processes and products. - Contributing to the development of security and privacy policies and procedures. - Driving a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancement in service delivery, business operations, and processes. Qualifications Required: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Strong understanding of cloud environments, including Microsoft 365 ecosystem, AWS/Azure or GCP. - Proven experience in a modern cloud-based distributed environment. - Deep knowledge of endpoint user computing (EUC) security postures and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) security deployments. - Proficiency in data security and compliance obligations. - Familiarity with Identity and Access Management Systems (IAMS), Single Sign-On (SSO), access controls, and permissions in cloud environments. - Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, mentor junior staff, and demonstrate expertise in network administration and cybersecurity at a senior level. - Possession of industry-recognized certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, and SANS certification. Nice to Have Skills and Characteristics: Additionally, the following skills and characteristics would be beneficial: - Tertiary qualification in a relevant IT-related field and/or relevant work experience. - Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, TS, etc. - Hands-on experience with deployment and configuration of security tools like SIEM. - Previous involvement in start-up or scale-up environments.
