Job Description

As a part of the New Supplier & Component Development team at our global climate technologies company, you will play a crucial role in developing relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure the efficient sourcing of components. Your responsibilities will include conducting eSourcing for components, working with various teams to implement engineering changes, and monitoring supplier performance to maintain costs and quality standards. - Develop components at existing or new suppliers through supplier outreach and horizon expansion - Collaborate with sales, operations, quality, and engineering teams to implement engineering changes - Monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and enhance supplier performance through corrective and preventive actions - Evaluate supplier performance, monitor improvement plans, and minimize plant disruptions and customer risks - Ensure supply chain capacity supports demand plan and implement supply chain risk mitigation projects - Plan and order materials based on monthly demand forecasts, work out material requirements plans, and track supplier performance and receipts - Review and revise monthly schedules, prepare and release purchase orders, and monitor on-time receipt of raw materials and components - Identify cost reduction opportunities, accelerate cost reduction programs, and negotiate with suppliers for cost savings - Provide feedback to suppliers on quality and delivery, communicate non-conforming material issues, and arrange for appropriate actions - Manage item inventory, reschedule procurement as needed, maintain stocks, and make decisions on disposal of obsolete materials - Ensure compliance with document control and statutory records for procurement activities - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or related field - Strong experience in supplier development, procurement, and supply chain management - Proficiency in materials planning, ordering, and scheduling - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Ability to analyze data, identify cost reduction opportunities, and drive continuous improvement - Knowledge of inventory management practices and document control procedures Our global climate technologies company is committed to sustainability and innovation in HVACR technology and cold chain solutions.
