Purpose of the Role:

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain electrical systems for
annealing furnaces, pickling lines, motors, drives, and control panels
.
Respond promptly to
electrical breakdowns
and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
Ensure the smooth operation of
automation systems
like PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and HMIs related to the line.
Conduct
preventive and predictive maintenance
as per schedule and record activities systematically.
Check electrical parameters such as
voltage, current, insulation resistance, and system grounding
periodically.
Coordinate with the
production team
to understand operational needs and provide timely electrical support.
Liaise with
instrumentation and mechanical teams
during cross-functional maintenance or shutdown activities.
Support in
commissioning, installation, and testing
of new electrical equipment or upgrades.
Maintain accurate records of
shift-wise breakdowns, spares used, corrective actions, and downtime analysis
.
Prepare
shift reports
and ensure effective handover of tasks to the next shift.
Update
maintenance logs, checklists, and equipment history cards
regularly.
Enforce
electrical safety protocols
during maintenance activities, ensuring use of proper PPE.
Ensure all work is carried out as per
SOPs, electrical safety norms, and LOTO procedures
.
Identify potential
electrical hazards
in the plant and take preventive and corrective actions proactively.
