JOB DESCRIPTION:-
We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with 57 years of proven expertise in Test Automation. The ideal candidate must have strong proficiency in Selenium with either Java or Python, along with a deep understanding of test automation frameworks and modern testing practices. Exposure to performance and load testing will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities Plan, design, and execute manual + regression test cases for functional, regression, and exploratory testing. Develop, maintain, and optimize automation test scripts for web, API, and integration testing. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to create BDD-style acceptance criteria and translate them into executable test scenarios (Cucumber, Gherkin). Ensure test traceability and coverage by effectively using ALM and Jira Xray for test planning, execution, and reporting. Track, log, and manage defects in ALM/Jira and collaborate with developers for root cause analysis and resolution. Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure timely feedback to development teams. Conduct functional test reviews, ensure alignment with business requirements, and maintain test documentation. (Preferred) Execute performance and load tests to measure system stability, scalability, and responsiveness. Experience
5–7 years of professional experience in QA (automation). Strong hands-on experience in functional and regression testing. Proficiency with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Behave, and writing test cases in Gherkin syntax. Solid automation expertise in Selenium with Java or Python. Experience with Maven, TestNG, or Cucumber Strong experience with test management tools: ALM (Micro Focus ALM) and Jira Xray. Strong Experience of API testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation execution in Agile/DevOps environments. Proficiency with Git and issue tracking tools (Jira/ADO). Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Agile and SaFe Excellent communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Grafana k6. Exposure to data validation testing for ensuring end-to-end accuracy across systems. Knowledge of cloud-native or containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Basic understanding of AI-assisted testing tools will be an advantage
