About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled SDET III (Automation Engineer) with strong expertise in Python and test automation frameworks to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and execute automation frameworks that ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software for Shadowfax Technology limited. Which powers real-time order tracking, shipment management, and delivery optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, and backend services using Python.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to understand system architecture and design robust automated test suites.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD test pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Perform API testing (REST, GraphQL) using Python libraries (e.g., requests, pytest).
• Integrate automated testing into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Perform data validation and backend testing for logistics workflows (shipments, tracking, order routing, etc.).
• Identify, document, and track defects to closure.
• Contribute to performance testing and load testing initiatives.
• Work closely with DevOps, QA, and product teams to improve test coverage and delivery quality.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 37 years of experience as SDET / QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with PyTest / Unittest / Robot Framework.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP methods.
• Familiarity with Selenium / Playwright / Cypress for UI automation.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Experience working in logistics, courier, or e-commerce domain is a plus.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Mentorship: Proven experience in mentoring and coaching other engineers.
• Strategic thinking: Ability to define and drive quality strategy for complex systems.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to microservices architecture and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Locust.
• Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and real-time data validation.
• Experience in API mocking and test data management
