Sdet Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand requirements and design effective testing strategies.

•  Assist the Automation Framework lead to manage and maintain a scalable automated test framework using qTest, Tosca and relevant testing tools.

•  Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate bug tracking systems and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

• Conduct root cause analysis of issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

• Continuously improve and optimize the test automation process, tools, and methodologies.

•  Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the QA team, promoting best practices and maintaining high-quality standards.

• Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and industry best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

•  Collaborate with stakeholders to define and measure key quality metrics and provide regular reports on the status of test efforts.

• Flexible to work on stories across projects and with various project leads.

• Learn the application system deep enough to provide root cause analysis while reporting the bug.

• Develop scripts that perform well and can run in parallel for faster delivery.

• Work towards the goal team goal of in-sprint automation

Job Requirements:

•Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

•Proven experience as an SDET or similar role, with a focus on software testing and automation

.Knowledge in selenium Java.

•Knowledge and hands-on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

•Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium or Appium.

•Proficiency in test automation tools, version control systems, and bug tracking tools.

•Solid understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and QA processes.

•Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts
