Job Description

7-10 years of experience in networking, with a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet platforms (CLI, solutioning, upgrades, troubleshooting).
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Security, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

As an SD-WAN Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Performing software and firmware upgrades for SD-WAN Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs) and ensuring alignment with corresponding controller/manager versions.
Managing patch deployment for SD-WAN devices.
Executing remote device replacements due to hardware failures or end-of-life.
Developing and implementing configuration validation and rollback plans.
Coordinating with customers to schedule maintenance windows and secure approvals.
Conducting post-upgrade validation and generating compliance reports.
Maintaining accurate inventory and version tracking across all sites.
Updating documentation and the knowledge base.
Validating automated execution processes.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of telecommunications and security principles.
Fundamental knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP, and IP Routing.
Proficiency in routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and GRE.
Experience with Unix-based systems is a plus.
Fortinet and other security certifications are highly desirable.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
Ability to operate effectively and professionally with customers, team members, and cross-functional organizations.
A proactive approach to issue management, driving resolutions with minimal direction.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
