Scrum Master II

As a Scrum Master at UST, you will play a crucial role in facilitating Agile practices and ensuring the success of IT projects. Your responsibilities will include organizing and leading Scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. You will act as a servant leader, empowering the team to self-organize and achieve sprint goals effectively. Your role will involve removing blockers, fostering transparency, and promoting collaboration across cross-functional teams to drive aligned delivery. In this position, you will work closely with the Product Owner and Development Team to manage the product backlog efficiently. You will identify and mitigate project risks, track dependencies, and support the team in backlog grooming, user story refinement, and sprint commitments. Your expertise in Agile methodologies, metrics, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence will be essential in guiding the team towards continuous improvement. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to Scrum Master or Project Manager roles. Certification as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is required. Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills are essential, along with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment. Experience in managing complex IT projects in an Agile environment, particularly in the healthcare sector, will be advantageous. Familiarity with Kanban, SAFe, DevOps practices, and project budgeting is a plus.
