Supply Chain Manager

Key &Functional Responsibilities and Authority

• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement of Raw Material, logistics, inventory management, and production planning.
• Coordinate closely with plant technical teams to understand material specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines, enabling timely and efficient procurement.
• Monitor and forecast demand to ensure product availability and optimal inventory levels.
• Negotiate contracts, rates, credit terms, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Oversee inventory management, stock audits, and reconciliation processes.
• Implement best practices in stores management FIFO, safety stock, and inventory optimization.
• Lead the stores & purchase team with accountability for timely procurement and accurate stock records.
• Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
• Monitor and manage purchase budgets, contracts, and tax implications to align with company policies and statutory norms.
• Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing carrying costs . Manage Slow, Non-Moving and obsolete inventory.
• Analyze supply chain data and performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and environmental standards.
• Utilize ERP to track inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and ensure data accuracy.
• Design pricing models and strategies that balance competitiveness and profitability.
• Expertise in sourcing and vendor development(Domestic & International) and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure a reliable and competitive supply chain.
• Perform detailed costing and price analysis of parts to support supplier negotiations and cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to all international & domestic trade laws, customs regulations, and local compliance standards.
• Manage documentation like shipping bills, bills of lading, certificates of
  origin, and import/export licenses.
• Manage budgets related to international shipping and customs.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs, transport agencies, and warehousing teams.

Qualification, Experience & Other Requirements:

• Bachelors/masters degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration with relevant experience around '10 to 12' years.
• Proficiency in MS Office for data analysis and reporting.
• Hands-on experience in costing and price negotiation.
• Ability to lead a team and collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management tools.
