School Librarian

As a School Librarian at The Shri Ram Wonder Years, Noida Sector 35, you will play a crucial role in fostering a love for reading, research, and lifelong learning among students by managing the school library and creating a resource-rich environment. Your passion for literacy and information management will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that supports both students and staff. - Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library, including cataloging, shelving, and maintaining library materials. - Assist students and teachers in locating and using resources for learning and research. - Promote reading through book clubs, reading challenges, author visits, and engaging displays. - Teach students how to access and evaluate information, including digital literacy and research skills. - Curate a diverse, inclusive, and age-appropriate collection of print and digital resources. - Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs and integrate library resources into classroom instruction. - Maintain accurate records of library inventory, checkouts, and overdue items. - Ensure the library space is safe, organized, and conducive to study and exploration. - Stay current with trends in literature, educational technology, and school librarianship. - Uphold and enforce library policies and procedures. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field (Masters in Library and Information Science preferred). - Prior experience working in an educational setting is an advantage. - Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in library management systems and digital learning tools.
