Scaled Abuse Manager, YouTube Trust and Safety

Role Overview: In a fast-paced, dynamic, and proactive environment, you will be a part of YouTube's Trust Safety team, dedicated to ensuring a safe online experience for users, viewers, and content creators worldwide. Your role involves formulating strategies and implementing solutions for anti-spam analytics and detection at scale within YouTube. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address community abuse issues and enhance the overall YouTube platform experience. Key Responsibilities: - Guide the team in performing investigations and applying advanced statistical methods to analyze large data sets from diverse sources. - Lead the team in creating and deploying automated solutions for bulk classification of abusive content and behavior. - Collaborate with stakeholders from engineering, product, policy, and legal departments to drive anti-abuse solutions impacting various areas. - Develop and lead analyst teams to address spam and abuse vectors across YouTube community engagements. - Identify spam trends and techniques to deploy anti-abuse countermeasures efficiently. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience in data collection, management, statistical modeling, data mining, and project management. - 2 years of experience in management and problem-solving with data management and metrics analysis. - Experience with classification systems, ranking systems, and excellent investigative skills. - Knowledge of product and policy communication across multiple levels.
