Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Strategy Lead to support the SAP GDS US Leader. This role will act as a Chief of Staff, driving strategic alignment, operational excellence, and seamless collaboration with US counterparts. The Strategy Lead will be instrumental in enabling GDS to transition from a pure delivery focus to strategic growth, innovation, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in business unit strategy, proven ability to work with senior leadership, and deep understanding of IT services and SAP delivery models.
Key
- Act as a trusted Partner to SAP GDS US Leader, providing strategic input, preparing leadership materials, and ensuring follow-through on priorities.
- Define and operationalize GDS SAP US business unit strategies that support innovation, automation, and GDS US integration.
- Support enterprise-level strategy deliverables including operating model analysis, capability mapping, value stream design, and solution ecosystem recommendations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of strategic initiatives, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with US and global counterparts to ensure alignment and smooth execution of joint initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and internal performance to provide actionable recommendations.
- Drive efficiency and integration across delivery and support functions, ensuring execution discipline and measurable outcomes.
- Lead workshops and discussions with stakeholders to shape priorities, clarify choices, and accelerate decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in business unit strategy development and execution, ideally in IT services/SAP ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior executives and influence at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with executive presence.
- Deep understanding of IT service delivery models, with exposure to automation, innovation, and process optimization.
- Experience in global/offshore delivery models and working across geographies strongly preferred.
