SAP PLM / SAP BOM Management Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support

  SAP BOM Management

  processes for discrete manufacturing.
• Implement and manage

  Engineering Change Management (ECM – ECR/ECO process)

  , including Change Masters, effectivity, object links, and release strategies.
• Configure and maintain

  SAP DMS

  (DIRs, document types, versioning, status management, content server integration).
• Set up and manage

  SAP Class & Characteristics

  for materials, documents, and configurable objects.
• Configure

  SAP Variant Configuration (VC) including KMAT

  , dependency rules, characteristics, and configurable BOMs.
• Support cross-functional integration with MM, PP, SD, QM.
• Conduct requirement workshops, prepare functional specifications, and support testing (SIT/UAT).
• Work with technical teams for enhancements, workflows, and RICEFW objects.
• Provide documentation, training, and hypercare support post go-live.

Candidate Requirements

• 8–10 years experience in

  SAP PLM / BOM / Engineering processes

  within discrete manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on configuration expertise (not superusers or business users).
• Ability to work independently with global stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Immediate joiners highly preferred.
