Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Production Engineering Process Design

Analyze and model
Engineer-to-Order (ETO)
and
Make-to-Order (MTO)
production scenarios
Configure
shop floor routings
,
operation activities
, and
component allocations
Align engineering master data (BOMs, routings, work centers) with production execution requirements

SAP PEO Configuration & Deployment

Implement and customize
SAP PEO functionalities
including
work instructions
,
change impact analysis
, and
production versioning
Conduct
Fit-to-Standard workshops
, prepare
functional specifications
, and lead
UAT and cutover planning
Support
data migration
and
master data harmonization
for production engineering scenarios

Integration Management

Integrate SAP PEO with
SAP PLM
,
S/4HANA Manufacturing
, and
MES/DMC platforms
Ensure seamless synchronization of product structures and engineering changes across systems
Collaborate with technical teams to manage
API-based communication
,
error handling
, and
real-time data exchange

Testing, Documentation & Support

Develop and execute test scripts for PEO functionalities and cross-module integration
Document configuration settings, process flows, and user manuals
Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.

Preferred candidate profile

Position Title

SAP PEO Functional Consultant

Professional Experience

Minimum of
6 years of experience
in SAP implementation projects, specifically within
discrete manufacturing
environments
Proven background as an
SAP Functional Consultant
with hands-on configuration, process design, and solution delivery
Experience must be
consultant-level
, not end-user support

Technical Expertise

Extensive exposure to
SAP Production Engineering and Operations (PEO)
with proficiency in:

Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Make-to-Order (MTO) scenarios
Shop floor routings, operation activities, and component allocation
Order orchestration, production versioning, and work instruction management

Hands-on
S/4HANA implementation experience
, including integration with:

SAP PLM
MES/DMC platforms
S/4HANA Manufacturing components

Proficient in managing and harmonizing
engineering master data
(BOMs, routings, work centers)

Project Delivery Capabilities

Participation in full project lifecycle activities, including:

Fit-to-Standard workshops
Drafting of Functional Specifications
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Cutover activities and post-go-live support

Knowledge of data migration techniques and master data alignment strategies

Soft Skills & Collaboration

Effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement across engineering, manufacturing, and IT functions
Ability to identify and implement process improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives

Certifications

SAP Certified in S/4HANA Manufacturing or SAP PEO module.
