Sap Lead Consultant

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Implementation & Solution Design

• Lead SAP implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects across relevant SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PP, QM, FI/CO, PM, WM, EWM, HCM).
  
• Gather and analyze business requirements, identify gaps, and design best-fit SAP solutions.
  
• Configure and test SAP functionalities based on business process requirements.
  
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure integration across modules and systems.
  
• Oversee batch job management and provide regular status updates to the project manager.
  

2. Project & Team Leadership

• Act as the key liaison between business users, functional consultants, and technical teams.
  
• Lead and guide a team of consultants, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery.
  
• Mentor junior consultants and offshore team members, ensuring adherence to SAP standards and methodologies.
  
• Support project planning, effort estimation, and milestone tracking in coordination with project managers.
  

3. SAP System Optimization & Integration

• Identify opportunities for SAP process optimization and automation.
  
• Work with ABAP, Basis, PI/PO, and Fiori teams for system enhancements and integration.
  
• Contribute to SAP S/4HANA migration or greenfield/brownfield implementation projects.
  
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and data integrity through proactive monitoring and improvement initiatives.
  

4. Business Process Improvement & Support

• Evaluate current business processes and recommend SAP-enabled improvements.
  
• Provide post-implementation and production support, troubleshooting complex SAP issues.
  
• Ensure all changes comply with internal controls, policies, and SAP best practices.
  

5. Stakeholder Communication & Documentation

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and align SAP solutions accordingly.
  
• Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, training materials, and user documentation.
  
• Conduct user workshops and training sessions to improve SAP adoption and knowledge transfer.
  
• Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to leadership and business sponsors.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience:

  610 years in SAP consulting, with at least one full-cycle implementation and exposure to multiple modules.

• Technical & Functional Expertise:

• Deep expertise in at least one core SAP module (e.g., SD, MM, PP, QM, FI/CO, PM, WM, EWM).
  
• Good understanding of SAP cross-module integration and third-party interfaces.
  
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA projects preferred.
  
• Basic understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5, ABAP debugging, and SAP Cloud Platform is advantageous.
  

• Leadership & Soft Skills:

• Proven experience leading small to mid-sized teams or workstreams.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  

• Education:

  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.

• Certifications:

  SAP certification in relevant modules (preferred).
