Job Description

SAP Business Objects (BO) Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop
BO reports and dashboards
using Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and BO Dashboards (Xcelsius).
Create and maintain
universes (IDT/UDT)
for semantic layer modeling.
Understand business requirements and translate them into
technical specifications
and BI solutions.
Integrate BO reports with
SAP BW, SAP HANA
, or other backend systems.
Optimize BO reports for performance and maintain
data accuracy and consistency
.
Work with business users to provide
ad hoc query support and training
.
Perform
data validation, unit testing
, and support
UAT and production deployments
.
Manage
BO security
, user access, and folder structure in the Central Management Console (CMC).
Provide
production support
, issue resolution, and enhancements as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

57 years of experience in
SAP Business Objects
(WebI, Crystal Reports, IDT/UDT, CMC).
Strong knowledge of
universe design, data modeling
, and relational databases (SQL).
Hands-on experience with
report development
from SAP and non-SAP data sources.
Experience in
performance tuning
, report optimization, and data validation.
Good understanding of
BI lifecycle
, including requirement gathering, design, development, and deployment.
Familiarity with
BO administration tasks
(user management, security, scheduling).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

Experience integrating BO with
SAP BW, SAP HANA, S/4HANA
, or other ERP systems.
Exposure to
BI tools
like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, or Tableau.
Basic understanding of
ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
.
Knowledge of
Agile/Scrum methodologies
.
SAP BO certification is a plus.
