Job Purpose/Summary:

The software engineer - Integration Platforms team is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of application interfaces and supporting middleware integration tasks. This role involves troubleshooting, supporting integration flows, and assisting with application integration using tools like SAP BTP (Integration Suite, CPI, API HUB, eventMesh), and others. The professional will also contribute to cloud-based application development and troubleshooting across the complete cloud stack (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) while collaborating with project managers and technical teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Middleware Integration: Support integration of in-house applications, databases, and systems with third- party applications using tools like SAP BTP (Integration Suite, CPI, API HUB, eventMesh).

2. Application Interface Development: Assist in developing and maintaining application interfaces to ensure seamless data flow and integration.

3. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide troubleshooting and support for middleware-related integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes.

4. Cloud Application Support: Work on the deployment and troubleshooting of cloud-based applications across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce.com, Microsoft Azure, AWS).

5. API Management: Assist in the development and management of APIs, including pre-scripting, post-scripting, and integration testing for seamless communication between systems.

6.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project managers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to drive an optimized solution within the known constraints and technical requirements.

7. Documentation: Ensure that integration-related documentation is maintained accurately, including interface designs, flow diagrams, and operational procedures.

Key Performance Indicators:

1. Integration Success Rate: Achieve a high success rate in the development and deployment of application interfaces with minimal disruption to business processes.

2. Middleware Issue Resolution: Ensure timely resolution of integration issues with minimal downtime or impact on the systems.

3. Cloud Deployment Efficiency: Deliver cloud-based applications effectively, ensuring smooth deployment and troubleshooting.

4. API Performance: Ensure APIs perform optimally, supporting smooth communication between

applications and systems.

5. Documentation Quality: Maintain clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation of all integration processes and solutions.

Qualificaton:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Knowledge of integration tools like SAP BTP (Integration Suite, CPI, API HUB, eventMesh).

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, and related tools.

Functional Skills/Competencies:

- Applications Integration, Middleware - Integrate data or functions from one application program with that of another application program - involves development of an integration plan, programming and the identification and utilisation of appropriate middleware to optimise the connectivity and performance of disparate applications across target environments

- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment - Manage the planning, building, testing and

integration of codes, and deployment of software changes and updates into a live environment.

- System Integration - Develop and implement a roadmap and specific integration solutions to facilitate integration of various ICT components and optimise inter-operability of systems and their interfaces. This includes the integration of various architectural components such as networks, servers, system platforms and their interfaces.

- Technology Integration - Integrate new and emerging technology products, services and developments to enhance operations and service delivery." - Business Acumen - Integrate business priorities, perspectives and desired outcomes with organisation strategy, operations and activities to drive initiatives.

Devise the framework, manage and conduct the situational analysis process to uncover market trends andindustry developments to identify new opportunities "

- Requirement Gathering - Identify and scope business requirements and priorities through rigorous information gathering and analysis as well as clarification of the solutions, initiatives and programmes to enable effective delivery. This also involves the development of a compelling and defensible business case, and the articulation of the potential impact of the solution to the business

- Emerging Technology - Monitor, gather data and identify emerging technology trends, developments, products, services and techniques for integration. In addition, perform cost-benefit analysis and evaluation of their relevance, viability, sustainability and potential value add to the business.

- Domain & Industry Knowledge - Understanding the industry and domain in which currently operating to understand the client and the problems better

- IT Strategy - Plan, develop and communicate effective inward- and outward-facing IT strategies, solutions and action plans, driven by environment scanning and assessment of the business future needs and long-term strategic direction. This involves devising internal management strategies and models to support and sustain

IT transformations and alignment of IT investments and programmes with the strategy to optimise the business value from IT.
