SAP ABAP Workflow Consultant

As a SAP Consultant at Discus Business Solutions (DBS) based in Ahmedabad, India, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing SAP ABAP solutions. Your primary focus will be on OData, SAP Workflow, and IDoc technologies. Collaborating closely with functional teams and business stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure seamless integration within the SAP landscape. Your responsibilities will include developing, modifying, and optimizing custom SAP ABAP programs, reports, forms, interfaces, and enhancements. You will utilize ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to design and implement technical solutions, conduct code reviews, and offer guidance on best practices in ABAP development. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining OData services to expose SAP functionality to external systems, integrating SAP systems with third-party applications via OData, and ensuring security and performance optimization of OData services. You will also design, configure, and implement SAP Workflow for automating business processes, monitor and troubleshoot workflow issues, and customize workflow tasks and notifications based on business requirements. Furthermore, you will develop and maintain IDoc interfaces for data exchange between SAP and external systems, monitor and troubleshoot IDoc processing to resolve errors and ensure data accuracy, and customize IDoc segments, message types, and partner profiles as needed. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant. Strong expertise in SAP ABAP development, including ABAP Objects, ALV reports, Dialog Programming, Enhancements, User Exits, BAPIs, and BADIs, is required. Experience with SAP OData services, SAP Workflow design, configuration, and implementation, as well as proficiency in IDoc configuration and troubleshooting, is essential. Familiarity with SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments, strong problem-solving and debugging skills, a good understanding of SAP functional modules such as SD, MM, FI, CO, and excellent communication skills are also necessary for success in this role.,
