Role Position: SAP ABAP HCM Developer Location: Chennai / Remote Experience Required: 6+ years in SAP ABAP with strong expertise in HCM module Employment Type: Full Time Joining Timeline: Immediate to 30 days preferred Job Description We are looking for an experienced and certified Senior SAP ABAP HCM Developer to join our SAP Center of Excellence. This role will play a key part in delivering, maintaining, and enhancing our SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) landscape, with a strong focus on ABAP development, agile delivery, and integration with BI systems and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, enhancements, reports, interfaces, and forms in the SAP HCM module (PA, OM, PY, PT, etc.). * Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and implement SAP HCM solutions that align with HR strategies. * Support end-to-end SAP HCM implementations, upgrades, and support projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and SAP standards. * Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage source code and collaborate with development teams. * Participate in Agile sprint cycles, including planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. * Design and develop integrations with SAP BI, SAP BW, and third-party reporting tools to support HR analytics and reporting needs. * Optimize existing code and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure high system performance and data integrity. * Ensure compliance with internal security, data privacy, and SAP audit requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications * SAP HCM Certification(s) in ABAP or functional modules (PA, PY, OM, PT). * 6+ years of hands-on experience in ABAP development specific to SAP HCM, including classical and object-oriented programming. * Deep understanding of SAP HCM data models, infotypes, clusters, and schema enhancements. * Stong experience in implementing and supporting SAP HCM modules such as Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Payroll, and Time Management. * Proficiency with version control tools like Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps. * Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with continuous integration/deployment practices. * Good understanding of data warehousing and BI concepts, especially in relation to SAP HCM reporting. Preferred Skills * Exposure to SuccessFactors integration with SAP HCM or hybrid landscape experience. * Experience with SAP Fiori / UI5 apps for HCM scenarios is a plus. * Familiarity with Workflow, ALE/IDOC, and BAPIs in HR modules. * Basic knowledge of HANA-based performance tuning for ABAP programs. Education & Experience * Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline. * Minimum 610 years of SAP ABAP HCM experience, including at least 2 full lifecycle implementations.
