Sap Abap Consultant

Job Title: SAP ABAP on HANA Consultant S/4HANA Public Cloud

• Develop, customize, and enhance SAP applications using ABAP on HANA techniques in the S/4HANA Public Cloud environment.
• Work within the restrictions of the Public Cloud, utilizing In-App Extensibility, Key User Tools, and Developer Extensibility (Embedded Steampunk) where applicable.
• Develop CDS Views, AMDPs, and OData Services for Fiori applications and analytics.
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with SAP's clean core principle and upgrade-safe development practices.
• Participate in solution design reviews, code reviews, and performance optimization activities.
• Implement best practices for unit testing, transport management, and lifecycle management in the cloud.
• Support integrations with other SAP or third-party systems using BTP, APIs, and SAP Cloud SDK.
• Document technical specifications, test cases, and deployment guides.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 2+ years working on SAP S/4HANA
• Strong knowledge of ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), CDS Views, OData Services, and AMDPs.
• Hands-on experience with In-App and Side-by-Side Extensibility using SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM, Fiori Elements, and Key User Extensibility Tools.
• Understanding of Public Cloud constraints and ability to work within SAPs standardized extensibility framework.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git-enabled Change and Transport System (gCTS) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in an agile setup.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certification in ABAP for SAP HANA, S/4HANA Extensibility, or SAP BTP Extension Suite.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, UI5, and Event-Driven Architecture using BTP.
