Coordination and Communication: Liaising with Other Departments Working closely with other laboratory staff, researchers, and clients to ensure samples are handled correctly and processed in a timely manner. Sample Preparation: Preparing samples for testing, which may include splitting, aliquoting, or creating dilutions. Quality Control: Assuring the quality of samples by performing quality checks and ensuring they meet specific standards. Storage: Properly storing samples in designated areas, maintaining appropriate temperatures and conditions. Sample Tracking: Maintaining a detailed tracking system for samples, including their history, location, and status. Shipping and Receiving: Coordinating the shipment of samples to and from external laboratories, following specific guidelines and documentation requirements.
