Salesforce Developer

Sales Cloud

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using:
    • Apex Classes, Triggers, Batch Jobs, Schedulers

    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)

    • Visualforce (for legacy support)

  • Build and maintain robust custom integrations using:
    • RESTful and SOAP APIs

    • Webhooks, external services, middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Zapier)

  • Collaborate with administrators to translate business requirements into scalable, well-documented technical solutions.
  • Implement and enhance automation flows (Flows, Process Builder, Apex-based logic).
  • Maintain schema and metadata: objects, fields, relationships, page layouts, record types.
  • Enforce code quality and governance through source control, change sets, and deployment tools.
  • Write unit tests with >75% code coverage and perform system-level testing and troubleshooting.
  • Create technical documentation, integration maps, and solution architecture diagrams.
  • Evaluate, customise, or extend third-party AppExchange packages.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions for org-wide refactoring.

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Salesforce Developer in an Enterprise Edition org.
  • Strong command of:
    • Apex (Triggers, Controllers, Schedulers, Batch)

    • Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components

    • SOQL/SOSL and data modelling

  • Solid understanding of:
    • Sales Cloud and Service Cloud architectures

    • Case management, Omni-Channel routing, and automation

  • Proven experience with:
    • API integrations (external systems, ERP/CRM platforms, 3rd-party services)

    • Version control (e.g., Git), sandbox management, and deployment pipelines

    • CI/CD tools such as Gearset, Copado, or Salesforce CLI

  • Familiarity with:
    • Salesforce DX, unlocked packages

    • Change management best practices and DevOps culture

  • Advantageous:
    • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required); Developer II or Architect credentials are a plus.
    • Experience in org migrations, system rebuilds, or large-scale codebase refactoring.

  • Comfortable designing technical solutions independently and reviewing business processes with stakeholders.
  • Able to document and communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Open to collaboration with administrators, project managers, and external developers.
  • Organised, self-managed, and responsive to iterative feedback.

Initial Project — Refactor & Enable

As part of your onboarding, you'll:

  • Perform a technical audit of the current Salesforce org (code, schema, automation, integrations).
  • Identify redundant code and legacy technical debt.
  • Collaborate with the admin team to design a

    modular, maintainable codebase

    with reusable LWCs and Apex services.
  • Assist in developing internal documentation and walkthroughs for key business workflows and platform architecture.
