You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and Salesforce architects to deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient CPQ solutions. As a Salesforce CPQ Lead Developer , you will play a key role in managing the technical aspects of CPQ projects, mentoring junior developers, and driving innovation in the implementation of CPQ solutions. Key Responsibilities : Salesforce CPQ Development Customization : Lead the development, configuration, and customization of Salesforce CPQ solutions, including pricing rules, product configurations, quote templates, and approvals. Design and implement complex CPQ features, including guided selling, product rules, and discounting logic, to meet client requirements. Customize and extend the Salesforce CPQ platform using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components to support business processes. Ensure that CPQ solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Salesforce best practices. Technical Leadership Mentorship : Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and troubleshooting. Act as a technical expert for the CPQ platform, ensuring the team adheres to development standards and methodologies. Provide coaching and training for junior developers, helping to grow their Salesforce CPQ expertise. Salesforce Integration : Oversee the integration of Salesforce CPQ with other Salesforce products (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and third-party systems (e.g., ERP, financial tools). Ensure seamless data flow between systems and design integrations that improve the overall sales process. Manage data migration tasks related to CPQ implementations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data. Collaboration with Stakeholders : Work closely with business analysts, architects, and functional consultants to translate client requirements into effective technical solutions. Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and ensure the CPQ solution is aligned with their sales processes. Lead technical discussions and design sessions, helping to drive consensus on solution approaches. Project Management Delivery : Oversee the technical delivery of CPQ projects, ensuring that development efforts are aligned with project timelines and client expectations. Participate in project planning, sprint planning, and status meetings to track progress and address roadblocks. Provide regular updates to leadership on project health, risks, and milestones. Salesforce CPQ Best Practices Innovation : Stay current on new Salesforce CPQ features and advancements, ensuring that the team is leveraging the latest capabilities. Continuously improve the development process by adopting new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the development lifecycle. Establish and maintain coding standards, guidelines, and documentation to ensure the quality and consistency of CPQ solutions. Testing Quality Assurance : Lead the testing process for CPQ solutions, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards and are fully tested before deployment. Address any defects or issues in a timely manner, working closely with stakeholders to resolve them. Qualifications : Education : Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience : 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development, with a focus on Salesforce CPQ. Proven experience leading the development and delivery of complex Salesforce CPQ solutions for large-scale organizations. Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ configuration, customization, and integration. Expertise in Salesforce platform development, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and SOQL. Experience with Salesforce CPQ integrations (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, ERP systems, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in managing sprint cycles and project timelines. Skills Expertise : Strong expertise in Salesforce CPQ features such as pricing rules, discounting, product rules, and quote templates. Advanced development skills in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components. Ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions using Salesforce CPQ and related tools. Deep understanding of sales processes, especially in areas of pricing, quoting, and contract management. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues and deliver solutions quickly. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
