About the Role

Cognizant is hiring an experienced Sales Trainer with strong expertise in digital advertising and outbound sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and enhancing end-to-end sales training programs that equip outbound sales teams to effectively prospect, engage, and convert clients.

You will play a critical role in improving overall sales performance, driving consistency in communication standards, and fostering a culture of continuous skill development through data-driven coaching and innovative learning methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Training & Enablement

Develop and deliver structured onboarding and continuous training programs for outbound sales teams.

Create frameworks for prospecting, cold calling, objection handling, and lead conversion strategies.

2. Skill Development & Coaching

Conduct workshops, simulations, and live call coaching to enhance outbound sales capabilities.

Deliver feedback sessions to improve persuasion, negotiation, and rapport-building skills.

3. Content Development

Design and update sales training materials including scripts, objection matrices, and pitch decks.

Customize learning modules to align with digital advertising objectives and campaign strategies.

4. Performance Evaluation & Feedback

Monitor outbound calls, identify training gaps, and provide actionable feedback.

Partner with operations and leadership teams to align performance goals with business objectives.

5. AI & Analytics Integration

Use AI-driven analytics to assess training impact and measure skill improvement.

Implement AI-powered coaching and call analysis tools to enhance efficiency and training precision.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

23 years of experience as a Sales Trainer or Sales Coach in outbound or inside sales environments.

Background in digital marketing, online advertising, or media sales preferred.

Proficiency:

Strong understanding of digital advertising concepts (Search, Display, Shopping, and Performance campaigns).

Expertise in sales enablement tools and training methodologies.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Strong ability to motivate, mentor, and coach individuals and teams.

Analytical & Technical Skills:

Proficiency in analyzing sales performance data and identifying improvement areas.

Familiarity with AI-based sales enablement platforms (e.g., Gong, Chorus, etc.).

Certifications (Preferred):

Digital Marketing or Sales Training Certifications preferred.
