This is a great opportunity to join Oxford University Press’s Academic Sales Operations team, supporting global sales activities that enable access to world-class academic resources. You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, customer service, and operational excellence.

Opportunity – the ‘what’

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Assist Academic Sales Operations teams with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external customers, societies, agents, and resellers.
  • Process billing and manage sales workflows across journals and online products.
  • Troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Set up systems for new products, pricing updates, renewals, and access control.
  • Support data management, including loading and updating customer information.

Your work will ensure smooth sales operations, accurate billing, and excellent customer service—critical to OUP’s success in delivering academic content globally.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Approachable, friendly, and a strong team player.
  • IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Analytical skills for root cause analysis and trend identification.
  • Educated to A level or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service.

Desirable Criteria

  • Familiarity with academic digital resources, online journals, or library systems.
  • Knowledge of IP address management and access methods.
  • Experience with systems such as Advantage, Sigma, Salesforce, 8X8, SAMS.
