Job Description

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Achieve Sales Targets:

    Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned modern trade accounts.
  • Drive Sales Growth:

    Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share, product visibility, and sales volume within modern trade outlets.
  • Negotiate and Secure Deals:

    Negotiate trade terms, pricing, promotions, and contracts with key retail buyers and category managers.
  • Business Development:

    Identify and secure new modern trade outlets or chains to expand the company's presence.

2. Account & Relationship Management

  • Build Strong Relationships:

    Establish and maintain long-term, favorable relationships with key stakeholders at retail chains, including store managers, buyers, and operational staff.
  • Serve as a Point of Contact:

    Act as the primary liaison between the company and the modern trade accounts, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams:

    Work closely with the marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of promotions, product launches, and order fulfillment.

3. Merchandising & In-Store Execution

  • Ensure Product Availability and Visibility:

    Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal product placement, display, and shelving.
  • Implement Merchandising Plans:

    Execute promotional activities, in-store campaigns, and point-of-sale material (POSM) placements to maximize brand visibility and consumer engagement.
  • Maintain Shelf Share:

    Work to increase the "share of shelf" for the company's products within the designated category.
  • Manage FIFO:

    Ensure proper stock rotation (First-In, First-Out) to minimize product expiry and wastage.

4. Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor Market Trends:

    Conduct regular market visits to assess performance, gather insights, and stay updated on competitor activities, pricing, and promotions.
  • Analyze Sales Data:

    Track and analyze sales data, performance metrics, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Generate Reports:

    Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence reports to management.

5. Operational Duties

  • Order Management:

    Process and manage sales orders efficiently and accurately to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Resolve Issues:

    Address and resolve customer complaints, operational issues, and supply chain challenges promptly.
  • Credit & Collection:

    Follow up on customer payments and manage account receivables to ensure timely collection of dues.
