Job Description

Job Title: Sales manager- Wealth Management

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate capital market business through

    referrals, partner networks, and channel development

    .
  • Build and manage relationships with

    HNI, retail investors, distributors, and strategic partners

    .
  • Identify new business opportunities across equity, mutual funds, bonds, PMS, AIFs, and other permitted capital market products.
  • Achieve assigned revenue, acquisition, and activation targets.

Channel Development & Referrals

  • Develop and expand

    referral and distribution channels

    (sub-brokers, advisors, corporates, professionals).
  • Onboard and manage channel partners as per company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct regular engagement, training, and performance reviews for channel partners.

Client Engagement & Information Support

  • Provide accurate and compliant

    product information

    to clients (no investment guarantees).
  • Assist clients in understanding capital market offerings, processes, and documentation.
  • Act as a single point of coordination between clients, operations, and product teams.

Sales & Account Opening

  • Support

    demat, trading, mutual fund, and investment account opening

    processes.
  • Ensure timely collection of KYC documents and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and activation.

Market Research & Insights

  • Conduct

    market research

    on capital market trends, products, competitors, and investor behavior.
  • Share insights with management to support product positioning and strategy.
  • Track regulatory updates and ensure business practices remain compliant.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all activities comply with

    SEBI, exchange, and internal compliance policies

    .
  • Maintain proper records, client communication logs, and partner documentation.
  • Avoid mis-selling and ensure transparent communication at all times.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of

    capital markets and investment products

    .
  • Business development and relationship management skills.
  • Channel sales and referral network building experience.
  • Client communication and presentation skills.
  • Market research and analytical ability.
  • High ethical standards and compliance awareness.

Educational Qualifications

  • Graduate / Post-graduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics or related field (preferred)
  • Certifications such as

    NISM (preferred)

    or equivalent capital market certifications are an advantage.

Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in

    capital markets, wealth management, broking, or investment distribution

    .
  • Experience in

    channel sales or referral-based business

    preferred.
