1. Role Overview

dynamic and experienced Sales Head – Telangana

managing a team of sales executives, growing the dealer & builder network, driving structured market execution, ensuring strict payment discipline, and expanding our presence across all Telangana districts

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep building-material experience, the ability to enforce discipline, and a strategic yet hands-on field approach.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales Leadership & Market Expansion

  • Lead all sales operations across Telangana, covering Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, Warangal, Karimnagar, and other districts.
  • Develop and execute district-wise sales and expansion strategies.
  • Create and manage structured beat plans and territory coverage.
  • Generate consistent customer pipelines through daily market visits, prospecting, and relationship building.
  • Conduct regular joint visits with team members for large accounts and key territories.

B. Dealer Network Growth & Channel Management

  • Appoint new dealers in high-potential towns and strengthen existing networks.
  • Ensure dealer activation, product movement, and policy compliance.
  • Conduct periodic dealer meets, site visits, and product training sessions.
  • Maintain pricing discipline, discount control, and proper order flow through dealers.

C. Builder / Contractor / Project Sales

  • Identify opportunities in major residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Builders
    • Developers
    • Contractors
    • Engineers
    • Architects
    • Consultants
  • Conduct product demos, technical discussions, and negotiations at project sites.
  • Influence customer decisions through superior product knowledge and confidence.

D. Recovery, Payment Discipline & Accounts Coordination

  • Ensure

    strict Payment Before Dispatch (PBD)

    across the territory.
  • Coordinate closely with the Accounts and Dispatch teams for customer approvals.
  • Personally visit customers delaying payments until issues are closed.
  • Clear outstanding dues in a structured and professional manner.
  • Maintain transparent weekly recovery updates for management.

E. Team Leadership, Training & Performance Management

  • Lead, manage, and monitor a team of 6–8 sales executives across the state.
  • Conduct daily sunrise meetings to review:
    • Orders booked
    • Key follow-ups
    • Delivery schedules
    • Recovery plans
  • Conduct end-of-day summary reviews & weekly team performance audits.
  • Train the team on product knowledge, reporting discipline, beat plans, and recovery handling.
  • Enforce strict policies related to reporting, field activity, and compliance.

F. Reporting, MIS, and Market Intelligence

  • Maintain structured reporting including:
    • Daily visit reports
    • Weekly sales pipeline
    • Competitor analysis
    • Dealer-wise sales performance
    • District-wise expansion plans
    • Monthly MIS to management
  • Provide market insights on pricing trends, competitor movement, and new opportunities.
  • Coordinate between HO, Plant, Accounts, and field teams for smooth operations.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Deep knowledge of Telangana’s building materials market
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Strong recovery and payment follow-up capability
  • Field-oriented, disciplined, and target-driven mindset
  • Ability to handle pressure and deliver consistent performance
  • Strong relationship-building with dealers, builders, contractors, and influencers
  • Knowledge of structured sales processes, reporting, and execution

4. Qualification Requirements

  • Graduate degree (MBA preferred but not mandatory)
  • 10–18 years of experience in building materials
  • Minimum 5 years handling a team or state-level/regional role
  • Strong familiarity with Hyderabad and Telangana construction ecosystem
