Job Description

Role Purpose

Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new clients across

    Manufacturing, FMCG, Chemical, Pharma, Food & Beverage, Renewable Energy, EPC

    , and other industrial sectors.
  • Generate enquiries for

    SS/MS/HDPE piping

    ,

    air/nitrogen/LPG/cryogenic pipelines

    ,

    fire hydrant systems

    , and

    MEP utility works

    .
  • Build a strong database of industry contacts.
  • Conduct

    cold calls, cold visits

    , and industrial networking to open new accounts.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build relations with

    Plant Heads, Project Managers, QA/QC, Maintenance Managers, Purchase Teams

    , etc.
  • Ensure continuous follow-up to maintain FAWIA as a

    preferred vendor

    .

3. Enquiry & Proposal Handling

  • Collect

    BOQs, tenders, scope of work, and drawings

    .
  • Coordinate with estimation/engineering for proposal preparation.
  • Ensure timely submission and follow-up until

    order finalization

    .

4. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Track competitor pricing, activities, and upcoming industrial projects.
  • Share

    fortnightly market intelligence reports

    .

5. Reporting & Targets

  • Achieve monthly

    lead generation

    ,

    industry penetration

    , and

    enquiry value

    targets.
  • Maintain

    weekly visit reports

    and sales pipeline reports.

Required Skills & Competencies

Sales Skills

  • Strong ability to open new accounts and penetrate new industries.
  • Experience in

    industrial / B2B / EPC sales

    is a must.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Previous experience in NCR & North India industrial sectors (mechanical/engineering side) is highly preferred.

Technical Skills (Preferred)

  • Basic understanding of

    industrial piping

    , utilities, BOQs, tenders, and engineering drawings.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and disciplined.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.

Eligibility

  • Diploma / Graduate / Mechanical Engineer preferred.
  • 4 - 10 years of experience in

    industrial project sales / EPC sales

    .
  • Willing to travel

    pan-India

    as required.
