Safety Supervisor

Position:

• Graduate in Science

  or

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Engineering (relevant discipline)

• One Year of Safety Diploma is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Compliance & Monitoring

• Ensure adherence to all safety rules, procedures, and statutory regulations within the plant and stores.
  
• Conduct routine safety inspections of work areas, equipment, and storage zones.
  
• Monitor usage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and ensure availability of required safety gear.
  

2. Risk Identification & Control

• Identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and potential hazards in operations.
  
• Report findings and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  
• Assist in conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments.
  

3. Emergency Preparedness

• Support emergency drills such as fire mock drills, evacuation exercises, and first-aid readiness.
  
• Maintain emergency equipment including fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and safety signage.
  

4. Training & Awareness

• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and basic safety training for plant/store employees and contract staff.
  
• Promote safety culture through awareness programs and daily interactions.
  

5. Incident Handling

• Assist in reporting and documenting incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
  
• Support preliminary incident investigations and follow-up actions.
  

6. Coordination & Documentation

• Maintain safety-related records, checklists, and audit documentation.
  
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies for safety compliance.
  
• Support statutory inspections and audits related to plant and stores.
  

7. Housekeeping & Process Safety

• Monitor housekeeping standards and ensure clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
  
• Verify safe material handling, proper stacking, and storage practices.
