Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits of forging operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws, regulations, and internal policies
(OSHA, Factories Act, etc.).
• Identify hazards such as heat stress, pinch points, heavy lifting, and noise exposure;
implement mitigation measures.
• Develop and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs).
• Train employees on safety procedures, PPE usage, emergency response, and safe
machine operation.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and
recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor proper use of safety gear and PPE in hot forging and press environments.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials (lubricants, oils,
etc.).
• Conduct fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency preparedness training.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure lockout/tagout (LOTO)
procedures are followed.
• Maintain safety documentation and safety data sheets (SDS) for all chemicals and
equipment.
• Act as a point of contact for external safety audits and inspections.
