Design Engineering Lead - Leading Start Up Company - Bangalore

Role Summary Were hiring a hands-on Team Lead to drive a high-performing design team. You’ll own delivery quality, team output, and client SLA compliance. You must have deep CAD/ CAM expertise, a track record of managing CAD teams, and a sharp eye for industrial design accuracy. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Review and validate complex 3D models converted from 2D drawings. Enforce modeling standards, file hygiene, and design best practices Define and implement quality checklists and design validation processes. Team Management Lead and mentor 4–6CAD designers with clear KPIs. Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and resolve design bottlenecks. Drive continuous skill enhancement within the team. Project & SLA Ownership Ensure error-free, timely delivery of models as per client SLAs. Manage feedback cycles and revisions with clients. Collaborate with operations for resource and load planning. Must-Have Expertise 7+ years of solid, hands-on experience with SolidWorks in industrial domains. Proven experience leading CAD design teams in high-volume environments. Strong grasp of 2D-to-3D conversion, GD&T, and manufacturing tolerances. Familiar with handling complex assemblies, design versioning, and BOM integration. Ability to catch critical design deviations, tolerance stack-ups, and modeling inefficiencies. Preferred Plus Experience with SolidWorks PDM, macros, or automation tools.
