Safety Officer

As an Experienced Safety Officer with 5 years of experience, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment through the implementation of health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your role will involve collaborating with employees, management, and regulatory bodies to mitigate workplace hazards effectively. Your key responsibilities will include: Safety Compliance & Implementation: - Ensuring compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations. - Developing and enforcing safety policies and procedures. - Conducting site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control: - Identifying workplace hazards and recommending corrective actions. - Conducting risk assessments and implementing preventive measures. - Investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and preparing detailed reports. Training & Awareness: - Conducting safety training programs for employees. - Organizing emergency drills such as fire, evacuation, and first aid. - Ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Incident Response & Reporting: - Responding to safety incidents promptly and coordinating emergency responses. - Maintaining safety records, reports, and documentation. - Collaborating with regulatory authorities during safety audits. Key Requirements: - Education: Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certifications are preferred.
